In Support of the Francophonie Games - November 27, 2005
Elra is currently preparing for the Francophonie Games. She leaves for Africa on Monday the 5th of December.Helen Folk Dancers and Ms.Teresa Hall made her a present of a lovely national costume to wear for the competition.Part of the judging criteria is scenic presence and the costume will definitely be a plus there.
Some business houses have been very supportive including Accela Marketing, Helen Television System, St.Lucia Distillers, Cara Suites,Agatha's Place Vigie and The Mirror .The support is greatly appreciated. Elra is looking foward to the Games and is all set to deliver a memorable performance come December.

About the Francophonie Games - November 10, 2005
Most St.Lucians are not aware of the Francophonie Games since it takes place every 4 years. It is the Olympics of the French speaking world and it involves not only sports but also the Arts. For over a period of a year two judges have been traveling the globe to all the 56 countries who are members of Francophonie to select competitors. Only 16 countries are selected for the singing competition of the games.Elra submitted her original composition “E Quittez Mwen” from her recent CD Emotive and earned a place in the competition.Pre-recorded music is not allowed, so efforts are being made to raise enough funds to take at least 3 musicians along with her to Niger Africa, where the games will be held.
The first fundraiser was “Kweyol makes the music sweet” and now a concert with cocktails is being organised for Sunday 20th November at 5pm, at Cara Suites. The contribution is $45.Private sector organisations should support this initiative. Although Elra will be representing St.Lucia she is using her talents to do her part in raising funds for the Games.
St.Lucia will also be represented by Jallin Eudovique for sculpture and Phaedra Cozier for
painting. We will also be represented in boxing and long jump and triple jump.
Support the Francophonie Games and contribute towards the success of the St.Lucian delegation.
Helen Television System and Helen Folk Dancers give their support for the Francophonie Games - November 9, 2005
Helen Television System has been very supportive in the fundraising drive for the Francophonie Games. They made it possible for Elra Ermay to air the television advertisement for the first concert "Kweyol makes the Music Sweet".Mrs. Theresa Hall and the Helen Folk Dancers, along with Mrs. Valerie Albert Fevriere of HTS, have offered to support Elra by providing her with a national costume for her performances.Elra of course is very happy and appreciative and hopes that the delegation receives even more support from the private sector.
Top Ten Youth - October 7, 2005
The ever popular youth oriented magazine,YO! and the Voice carried out a survey to identify 10 top young persons in St.Lucia who could be regarded as having some kind of positive impact on other persons, especially the youth and could serve as good success stories.Persons were sought out from all disciplines so no attempt was made to put them in any particular order. It is a list of persons deserving of due recognition.Elra was identified both for her achievements in music and for the contribution she makes as a teacher.Congratulations Elra and keep being a positive influence!
